Education Support Team

All children deserve the best start in life. Unfortunately, for many, this isn’t the reality. The children living in urban slums are highly deprived. Only intensive support and education can revent anti- social behaviour amongst children. However educational deprivation of slum children in particular and poor urban children in specific is often camouflaged by aggregate statistics on urban areas. Understanding the exisiting milieu and under RTE of our country, LSF care through the consistent efforts of its education support team, has been successful in mainstreaming 558 children in Adhiwashi School, Shahapur and a computer lab has been installed by LSF to taech the basic computer knowledge as the children can get better future after their academic completion.

We hope the children can fight against the illiteracy of computer knowledge.

EDUCATION SUPPORT PROGRAM IN RURAL AREAS

DONATION OF DELL SMART PROJECTOR BY LIFE SAVER FOUNDATION.

As an initiative towards Smart learning LSF adopted the Government Secondary and Higher Secondary Girls Ashram School at Shenave village of Shahpur Maharashtra in 2016 for the betterment of 558 tribal girls from across Maharashtra who study there. We have set up a Computer laboratory with a Projector for Smart learning equipped with WiFi network in the entire school premises. Children can now access internet facility and be updated with knowledge across the globe.

SPORTS AND FITNESS PROGRAM

Sports and Fitness Program was conducted by LSF this year. We observed the school had a huge playground but without sports equipment available to them. Taking a step further, we purchased Sports equipment for 558 Girls students of this school. This initiative was taken by LSF with a view of not just making the schoolgirls fit, but also to play at District and National levels and be recognized amongst the best schools in Maharashtra. LSF firmly believes these children would get better exposure in sports and recreation. Sports Accessories and Equipment were distributed this year and we will conduct a state level tournament by December to encourage all the children to participate in Sports Activities.
